An outdoor armchair is generally a large, thick-padded chair that is designed for relaxation. It features wider and deeper seating, with side supports for your arms. An outdoor dining chair on the other hand, is designed to be more upright and compact, which makes it more comfortable to sit against an outdoor dining table for a meal.
Wood
Simply wiping your wooden outdoor furniture regularly with some hot soapy water should keep it looking great throughout the year. Applying some protective treatment at least once yearly will also help to protect its appearance and prolong its life.

Metal
Nowadays most metal outdoor furniture comes in materials that are prepared to withstand the elements but a regular clean will also help. Use a non-abrasive cloth to wash with soapy water or a low setting if you prefer to get the pressure washer out.

Wicker

Resin
The care requirements of resin based furniture are similar to those of wicker. Just a regular wash with warm, soapy water to keep stains at bay or even with a pressure washer for more difficult dirt will do.
